Verification Process


Verification

All users of the Camplify platform are required to verify their identity. Camplify provides a secure process to complete your identity verification. This is required for all bookings, however some hirers may need extra steps to get verified. All your data is used in accordance with Australian and New Zealand Privacy standards, you can find out more information on our privacy policy here.

Domestic Hirers

The process for verification is simple, all we need is your driver's license and the address listed on it. This is checked by a secure third party verification service. If there are any issues with your verification, our team will be in contact via email with instructions on the next steps.

International hirers

International hirers are able to verify themselves through a series of steps. Generally, we require a driver's license from your country of origin and your passport. This can be provided by email so that the team is able to complete a manual verification.

If your international licence is not in English, a translation document may be required as per the NZ transport regulations.

If you have any additional drivers, they can be added at the time of collection, or by reaching out to Camplify on live chat.

Our team will work with you to complete your verification; however if you are experiencing verification issues, and your booking is commencing within 48 hours, please contact Camplify via Live chat.

This process helps us confirm the identity of both hirers and owners, creating a trustworthy environment for everyone using the platform. What information do I need to provide for verification?

For domestic hirers, you'll typically need to provide your driver's license. For international hirers, you'll usually need to provide your driver's license from your country of origin and your passport.



How does Camplify protect my personal information during verification?

Can I use Camplify without completing the verification process?

While you can browse RVs without verification, you'll need to complete the process to make a booking or list your RV. It’s an essential step in using the Camplify platform, and you will be asked to verify identity before you make payment for an approved booking.



How long does the verification process usually take?

For most users, the verification process is quick and can be completed in a few minutes. However, in some cases, it may take longer if additional information is required. If you require assistance, you can reach out to our Support team via our LiveChat feature.



What should I do if I'm having trouble with the verification process?

Can I update my verification information if it changes?

Yes, you can update your verification information. If your details change (for example, if you change your address), you can edit your details by selecting ‘account’, and filling out the required information.



Do I need to reverify for each booking?

Generally, you only need to complete the verification process once. However, Camplify may occasionally request re verification, especially if it's been a long time since your last booking.



What happens if my verification is rejected?

If your verification is rejected, you'll receive an email with instructions on what to do next. This might involve providing additional information or documents.




International Hirers


I'm an international tourist. Can I still use Camplify?

Absolutely! Camplify welcomes international tourists. We have a specific verification process for international hirers to ensure you can enjoy your New Zealand RV adventure.



What documents do I need as an international hirer?

As an international hirer, you'll typically need to provide a driver's license from your country of origin and your passport. Make sure your license is valid for use in New Zealand. Find out more details in our our Camplify Terms of Service, section ‘Identity and other checks’.



Does my international driver's license need to be in English?

If your international licence is not in English, a translation document may be required as per the NZ transport regulations.



How do I submit my international documents for verification?

You can usually upload your documents directly through the Camplify platform. If you encounter any issues, you can email clear, legible copies to our support team for manual verification, or reach out to one of our dedicated Support staff via LiveChat.



Do I need an International Driving Permit to hire an RV in New Zealand?

Whether you need an International Driving Permit depends on your country of origin and where you'll be driving. It's generally recommended for non-English licenses. Check with the relevant authorities or ask Camplify support for further guidance.



Can I use my foreign credit card for the booking and verification process?

Yes, Camplify accepts most major international credit cards. However, make sure your card doesn't block overseas transactions, as this could interfere with the booking process.

What if I don't have a driver's license?

To hire an RV, you need a valid driver's license. If you don't have one, you won't be able to be the primary hirer, but you could travel as a passenger if someone else in your group has a license and can be the primary hirer.



Can I use a provisional or probationary license?

Camplify does not permit drivers with provisional (P1 or P2) or learner licenses to hire or drive an RV. You must have a full, unrestricted license.



Is there an age limit for verification?

Yes, you generally need to be between 21 and 84 years old to hire through Camplify. Some owners may have different age restrictions, which will be noted in their listings.



What if I've recently moved and my license doesn't show my current address?

If your license doesn't show your current address, you may need to provide an additional proof of address document. Contact Camplify support for guidance on acceptable documents.



Do I need to verify my identity for each additional driver?

Additional drivers can typically be added at the time of vehicle collection. Their license details will be recorded in the Pre-Hire Checklist, but they don't usually need to go through the full Camplify verification process.



What if I don't have a smartphone to complete the verification process?

While the process is easiest with a smartphone, you can complete verification on a computer. If you're having difficulties, contact Camplify support for assistance.



Can I hire an RV if I have a digital driver's license?

At present, New Zealand does not accept digital copies of International drivers licenses for driving purposes.



What should I do if I've lost my license just before my trip?

If you've lost your license, contact Camplify support immediately. You may need to provide alternative identification and proof that you've applied for a replacement license.



Do I need to verify my identity if I'm only creating an account to browse?

You can create an account and browse listings without going through the full verification process. However, you’ll need to complete verification before paying for an accepted booking.
